:whisper: I have ridden and fished out of about every boat on the market. The only thing that is close to a 20 foot XLDV is an AllisonCraft, and they are tough to fish out of. I really like Skeeters, to heavy to go shallow :badmood: , in a twenty foot version. A :Kickcan: stratos(chine walkers) will not turn( I owned one for 18 years).

I would suggest :stirpot: a trial run in a 20XLDV, :woohoo: it has it all. Holeshot, mid range, top end, turn on a rail, dry and comfortable ride, excellent :fishing: fishability, quality livewells, and vast amounts of useable storage......... :bows:

I don't think you've been in a newer model(2005) Stratos 200 Pro XL....Mine has never chine walked and is smooth as glass, even on Fort Loudon.....It has everything you mentioned about the Norriscraft and then some!!!

2005,06,07 I have ridden in all of them, I haven't seen one yet that will turn at WOT without chining or having to be trimmed down. Gardner, yours may be one in a million if it will. I have never ridden in a stratos, triton, or any other :Kickcan: Bentz boat that would.

Okay boys, time for me to weigh in on this subject. I always thought I had an awesome riding and handling boat, not to mention how well I thought my 18'-3" Champion fished. I must admit it was good, BUT when I went to Madisonville Marine and bought my ZX-190 Skeeter, I knew I was wrong. I have fished out of several different boats in my time, But never have I had a all around awesome boat like my Skeeter. It runs, rides, fishes, drives, handles perfectly. It would be safe to say, I will never own another brand, that's how impressed I am with it. I know there are some good boats out there, BUT my Skeeter is a very good one. Oh yeah, this is the first time I have ever owned a Yamaha motor, I am by it like I am my boat. I never knew it could be so good. I would challenge anyone who thinks thay have a good boat to go take a demo ride in a Skeeter. If you do, take your check book, you will be needing it.

Okay guys, we all know that not all boats are created equally. Even within a manufacturer every boat off the line will have its own characteristics. Some will go fast and some will ride good. The key is that you take time to know your own boat. And with that said, the key is can your boat get you to the fish and back to weigh in on time? The truth of the matter is that we are all blessed to get to enjoy the lakes we have been blessed with. Keep em tight and release them alive!
